My alarm is set for 5am every day (except Sunday) and I eventually roll out of bed when my body wakes in its own time. I am usually sitting at my desk by 5:20am latest and I have to say, this is the most productive time of my day. The peace to focus enabling productivity for the day ahead of me. This is all assisted by a rather large cup of tea!

This works so well for me that another business owner has asked me to call her each morning when I wake to make her (and now myself) accountable for what I feel is the most important hours of the day. Preparing for the day ahead and setting my daily goals.

What crazy morning ritual do you follow?

You only get out of life, what you put in to it.

If you don't have time to put in yourself, learn to delegate to an individual who is skilled in that particular area required.

Virtual assistants can take away the pain of your administration and office/project management.

If you want it, make it happen.

VA Whiz specialise in organisation and it is always a thrill to submit our taxes early. But why so early? We find there is great benefit in getting ahead of yourself.

Here are 3 reasons why we submit tax early:

1. You'll have more time to pull your information together
rather than rushing around at the end to find receipts, you can take the time to pull together your financial information. Enjoy a stress free Christmas and focus on the key areas of your business at the beginning of the year without the worry and distraction.

2. You'll have plenty of time to register with HMRC. If this is your first year filing a return, you'll need to register with HMRC to file your returns online if you haven't already. HMRC will send you a PIN code, which could take seven working days to arrive - so it's worth getting that sorted now!

3. You'll have more time to budget. If your tax bill is higher than you expected, it's better to know as soon as possible so you can budget to pay your tax bill. You can file early, earn interest on what you owe and still pay closer to the deadline - the money just needs to be with HMRC by the 31st January deadline.

Need to get organised? Contact VA Whiz today to find out how we can assist in getting you ahead in your business.

Happy 1st day of the month. As we approach the half way point for 2020, we need to reflect on what 2020 has bought us so far and take positivity going forward for the remainder of the year.

Let's fill this jar with positive words.

My words would be 'grateful' for all connections made, particularly during the last few months and 'support' from clients, business contacts, friends and family.

What positive word would you add to the jar?

Time! Time to review and rethink some areas of life!! X

Today is Paper clip day. Holding businesses together.

The paper clip was first made in 1867 in the US to attach tickets to fabric however this model of a paper clip did not resemble the one we know today.

During World War II, the paper clip (redesigned by Norway) was used as a symbol of the Norwegian resistance to Nazi German occupation. Meant to show solidarity with other Norwegians during those difficult times, paper clips were worn in coat lapels by many. The Nazis saw this show of solidarity as a threat, and they soon prohibited paper clips altogether, threatening people who dared wear them with severe punishment. In fact, an enormous paper clip over a meter wide and five meters tall was erected in Sandvika, Norway, to remind people about the role this tiny object played in the nation’s history.

Who knew paper clips had such an interesting history.
